Limerock has been rocking South Florida since 2000, when guitarist Joel Fischbein first formed the band to play at his own wedding. What began as a one-time performance has grown into a fan-favorite group that's still drawing crowds 25 years later.
The current lineup features Joel Fischbein (guitar/vocals), Dave Manack (keyboards/vocals), George Stoner (vocals), Tim Birkett (bass/vocals), Russ Lange (drums), and Gio Ardizzola (guitar/vocals. Joel, Dave, and George remain from the original lineup, and the band also keeps guitarist Scott Opiela in their hearts as he recovers from a motorcycle accident.
Limerock is a high-energy classic rock band. With four lead singers, the band brings a mix of voices and styles. “We try to make every show feel like an arena concert," said bassist Tim Birkett. Their hard rock foundation is enriched by a wide range of genres spanning the 60s through today, with some members also releasing original music on Spotify.
At Hole 19, I joined Limerock on stage for Rock and Roll All Nite, sharing a high-energy
moment the crowd loved. As the audience sang along and the energy surged, it was clear why Limerock remains a staple of the South Florida rock scene.
