Howl-O-Springs Hits Under the New Moon

On the spooky night of Saturday, October 25th the Howl-O-Springs event on the Miami Springs circle brought out all the ghosts, ghouls and goblins. It brought out all the dinosaurs, aliens and fairies. It brought out Captain America, Spider-man and Batman. It was a family event fit for all ages. Faces were painted, masks went over heads and the smoke filled the air. Around here, Halloween is HUGE. We celebrate all month. We decorate our front yards and golf carts. Even our dogs join us in costume and glowing collars. The brightest glowing, the most colorful stand out. That’s the point. To stand out from the rest, and shine the brightest.

Parking wasn’t too bad as many families drove their golf cart to the event. It was free to park and enter. If you dared. The little ones were free to run around and work out those Halloween wiggles. So they took advantage of the chance to scream and wave their hands in the air in colorful holiday frightnight fun. It wasn’t just the kids dressed up in costume as it was a chance for all ages to pretend to be what their heart desired.

The circle was closed off, and the City of Miami Springs went above and beyond the call of duty. Even the City of Miami Springs police department was involved in the costume filled fun. There was a DJ playing those hits in the gazebo. The smell of BBQ and popcorn filled the air. We had rock climbing, bounce houses, scare zones, story time, a dunk tank reminding you of the good ole days at the River Cities Festival with rides and a haunted carnival atmosphere for all ages. It was a night to remember at the Howl-O-Springs event Saturday, October 25th 2025 5pm-9pm. Big thanks to all who helped make this possible. We appreciate you here, from River Cities Gazette.
