It was Friday, May 15th and the cars were lined up along the side of Ludlum Dr. here in Miami Springs. There must have been thirty cars parked there illegally. But they were willing to pay for the ticket. There was not an available seat in the house as The Mysterytones Band were live and in full color making Woody’s Backyard Grill pop all night. The staff was upgraded with some new talent to properly serve everyone, and the place was pumping with positive energy. As I told owner Tony Reyes. “See I told you. You guys have been hot lately and blowing out the competition.” And indeed they are. Every since River Cities Gazette has been in the mix helping out with promotions, social media videos and live streaming. Woody’s really has been blowing up. I’m not just saying that to show off or toot our own horn. Owners have been on top of the game with block parties, open mic night on Wednesday and karaoke night on Tuesday. Of course including live music shows on Saturday and delicious fresh food along with a full liquor bar filled with cool homemade drinks like the Woody’s Lemonade. Obviously you can’t get that anywhere else. Guess you have to get there and try it, as it’s secret recipe will not be given out here on River Cities Gazette.NET.
Tony Reyes is a hands-on owner and works hard alongside the staff and he is often in the heat of the back yard grilling and marinading that delicious BBQ. Tony truly puts his heart into it and it shows. Anyway.. The Mysterytones Band have a multi-talented line-up including a singing keyboardist, and two electric guitar players one of them even sings, which is a hard thing to do when you are concentrated on playing the guitar. The Mysterytones Band had all the bells and whistles for the crowd of new faces that it brought in that night to go along with the Woody’s regulars. The mysterious recipe of the band includes trombone, trumpet and saxophones players to go with the beat of the drummer. They really filled the air of the night with goose-bumps and positive vibes. Thumbs way up from River Cities Gazette to Woody’s Backyard Grill and its staff for stepping it way up in a major way as of late. A big shout out to The Mysterytones Band for filling Woody’s that night with a top-shelf, up-scale sound that made everyone want to dance.
