Born in Ohio, Tom Curtis is the former publisher of the River Cities Gazette and a University of Michigan Hall of Fame record holder. He was also a member of the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins, playing on two Super Bowl-winning teams. He is a long-time Miami Springs resident and continues to write for the paper. His son, Brad, is the current publisher.
