It’s that time of year again, as Poinciana United Methodist Church will hold its annual Harvest Festival on location at the church grounds, 300 N. Royal Poinciana Blvd. The event will kick off Thursday, Oct. 16 and run through Friday, Oct. 31. Everyone is welcome to come by and enjoy yummy homemade pumpkin breads (sold on a daily basis while supplies last), pies and muffins along with pumpkins of all sizes.
Event hours will be Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Mark down Saturday, Oct. 25 on your calendar as that will be Family Day at the patch. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be face painting, crafts, games, popcorn, a photo booth and cookie-decorating open to all children.
Another fun event is the actual arrival and unloading of the pumpkins. That will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and lend a helping hand. For information or to find out about other events, contact Mandy Weeks at 305-984-5773 or the church office at 305-888-0641.
