Local News and Entertainment Done Right

BOOM! River Cities Gazette.NET is off with a huge bang. We launched the website October 1st 2025. In six months, 18,000 articles have been read and there have been almost 10,000 visitors to River Cities Gazette.NET. How bout that for starting off with a huge bang. That doesn’t mean we slow down. We will keep striving for excellence, we will keep working hard for you. We will reach new milestones ahead. It took some getting used to. It took a lot of hard work, but we did it. We didn’t just say “Oh well, no more paper. It’s over” No we had a goal set. And we achieved our goal. There are no complaints. Everyone loves it, and everyone wants more. So that’s what we are going to do. Give you more.

River Cities Gazette rolls on after almost 50 years of the print version. We have evolved. And we are here for you. It stays a family business. My brother Matt Curtis is the assistant publisher. My good friend and right hand man, Ray Anton is the Editor. Yusniel Ruiz the designer and webmaster does an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly. Carlos Manuel aka. Miami Master DJ Carlos Sonic keeps you informed on local nightlife in the entertainment section. There it is again something you didn’t have an entertainment section in the print version. Mis-information becomes a thing of the past as articles and advertising can be updated and rectified. Any mistakes in the Gazette print, we were stuck with. You can even hit the Spanish button on the top of the website and read the articles for the first time in Spanish. How bout that for advancement. Ken Wilde, the local historian provides glimpses into the past. We are growing. Welcome to the team Bob Best, a Miami Springs man through and through, will now be writing about local sports. We even have guest writers. Like Rita Mayor of the Miami Springs Public Library. She is a published writer a former writer for River Cities Gazette and she has some fresh articles in route. So we carry on the legacy passed down from my father Tom. And we do it right. And we do it right now. We don’t wait till the news gets old. We keep it fresh, We go the extra mile for you. So that you are filled in with what’s going on. The digital grape vine here. River Cities Gazette.NET

We have an amazing staff. The team is dedicated to providing you with what you need and doing it properly. You can meet them all in the Meet The Team section. You can click in their name and see every article they have ever written here for the Gazette. I keep saying it. “Something you couldn’t do with the print version.” There are so many advantages of the newspaper being digital. No need for bulky archives. No need to hunt down old articles inside back issues. It’s Earth friendly as there is no garbage created by printing 10,000 copies. With the analytics, we can see how many people are reading, we can see how effective the advertising is. We can track the progress of River Cities Gazette.NET. Again, we couldn’t do that with the print.

The website works in tandem with the social media outlets. (Facebook & Instagram) So videos and live streams are there for you, no matter what, when, where or how. We truly cover all the bases for you. If there is a news worthy happening that you need to be informed about. For example, an event that happens at noon on a Sunday. The article is up here on the website a couple hours later. You couldn’t do that with the print newspaper. If there is an event to look ahead to. It’s up in the Community Connections section, and you can plan on seeing us there. We even have a real estate section so you can advertise an individual property listing or just expose your real estate company. Something we didn’t have in the print.

It’s seven days a week. We don’t take holidays off, we don’t take sick days, we just keep providing for you what you need to stay informed.
