So the last couple of days around here were dark, wet and gloomy. We were blocked from the Sun. You may have slipped and fell into a puddle of mud. But you know what? You wiped that mud off and kept going. Today the Sun rose over paradise into a blue sky. The clouds are gone. The skies are clear. By the grace of God, we are given a fresh day to make the most of. Because it’s a laugh cry world we live in. Without the dark days, you wont appreciate the bright ones. You just wipe the tears off your face, and continue on your journey. We can’t control the weather. But we can control our reaction to it.
It’s not always easy to laugh at our adversities. But you can choose to be happy. You can dance through traffic jams. You can smile, when you shouldn’t be smiling. There are such things as happy tears. In which you are crying and smiling at the same time. Because that’s what kind of world we live in. You have to learn to take the good with the bad. No matter who you are. Even if you’re the king of Saudi Arabia or the president of the United States. You are going to have dark days. You are going to have to wipe the mud off after you fall into puddles.
So as you’re reading this fresh article here on River Cities Gazette.NET. I want you to notice how much worse things could be in your life, but aren’t. When you hear that ambulance. I want you to say to yourself. “It’s not for me.” If you are crying, notice that you have eyes to vent your tears. That you have eyes to read this article. Then notice the light that enters your eyes from the Sun. That you have ears to hear the music that you are dancing through traffic jams to. You have a mouth to voice yourself. To sing the song that you are dancing to through rush hour traffic. Then use it to smile through your adversities. That you could be deaf, blind or mute. But you aren’t. Notice the haves and focus on what is good. Don’t worry about what you don’t have. Because if it is meant to be, It will come to you.
No matter how cloudy the skies are. You know that the storm will pass and the Sun will shine on your face again. You know that you will get through your traffic jam. Then it’s just smooth sailing ahead in forward motion. Ride those highs like a wave. Stand firm through those lows like God wants you to. Take notice that you have legs to stand tall and proud with. That you are privileged enough to get a chance to experience life, through the laughs and the cries, here on this crazy planet we live on.
