1957 photo of Miami Springs Police Department motorcycle officers Bill Greenhaw on the right and John Kingsmore on the left.
Bill joined his father on the MSPD in 1956 . Bill’s dad had been on the force since 1948 and retired in 1960. Bill retired in 1988 and still lives in Miami Springs.
John Kingsmore moved to Miami Springs from Tampa in 1954. He served first on the Miami Springs Fire Dept and transferred to the MSPD in 1955. He became a Metro Dade officer in 1960. He retired and moved to Orlando in 1970 where he passed away in 1988. Thank you Glenn Daily for letting us know the photo was taken by you in front of Jim Curry’s Standard Oil service station at 1 Palmetto Dr. on the Circle. Officers Daily and Greenhaw were MSPD riding partners 1959-1960.
